Playa de las Americas property for sale

If you have heard of Tenerife, then you will have heard of Playa de las Americas but if you think it’s just bars and nightclubs, you should look a little closer.

Las Americas is a man made resort built around a wide dark sand beach but it has spread and grown to become an important and popular part of the south.

As a vibrant nightlife scene, it still has few equals but that is just one small part of it’s attractions centred on the Starco and Veronica complexes. The local council has spent a lot of money in recent years in upgrading the area and now the main coastal walk, Avenida Rafael Puig is a pleasant pedestrianised walkway with plants and seating areas. The beach has always been the star, shelving gently into the sea and complete with hire facilities for all types of pleasure craft. The seafront promenade that links into Los Cristianos has also been improved and as it is lined with restaurants and bars, it’s a great place to relax and watch the many surfers that are attracted to it’s less developed beaches.

Property comes in a wide range in Las Americas with modern new developments on the fringes and older re sale properties in the heart of the area still much sought after and with great rental value.

If you walk away from the beaches you will discover many new attractions and facilities. The main bus station is the link point for the Titsa public service and the doorway to any part of the island. To it’s side is the new Magma Arts and Congress centre with it’s distinctive rough stone finish, the centre attracts business conventions and classical and modern music concerts. Just behind the bus station is the exciting new leisure attraction, Siam Park, due for opening early in 2008, built by the owners of Loro Park in the north, it’s destined to be on everyone’s must visit list.

Golf Las Americas provides a huge green backdrop to the area and is one of the top courses on the island. Properties that surround the course are in the unique position of being blessed with peaceful green views but within minutes of the main motorway and the vibrant heart of the tourist south.
